Jaiteh sets new course record at seventh edition
Ousman Jaiteh wins in 1h14'07", breaking a record that had stood since 2012. Veronica Chiusole takes the women's title. Over 400 participants across all three events.
The seventh edition of Ciaminada Nonesa was held in Sarnonico on October 15, 2017: 21.097 km, 410 m of elevation gain, mixing asphalt, dirt road and trail.
Men’s race
Ousman Jaiteh (US Villagnedo) won in a new course record: 1h14’07”, improving by 71 seconds on the previous mark of 1h15’18” set by Giuliano Battocletti in 2012. Alex Cavallar was second in 1h14’28”, Emanuele Franceschini third in 1h18’46”.
Women’s race
Veronica Chiusole (Atletica Team Loppio) won in 1h35’26”. Anna Zambanini was second in 1h37’31”, Sara Baroni third in 1h37’40”.
A full day of sport
172 runners finished the competitive race; total participation across all three events - race, 12 km Nordic Walking, and the newly introduced “A Spas par i Pradiei” 5 km family walk - exceeded 400 people.
